Thank you for all your support in the last two weeks leading up to School tree day and National tree day. It was hectic and Marcus worked feverishly to prepare the site before our help arrived. Thanks to Western Sydney International Dragway staff for pitching in, on National Tree Day, for Mick, Sandra, Geoff, Rosheen and Janice for volunteering their time.

This was Koala Tree Landscape first attempt to organise this year᾿s National Tree Day, with great results by having Channel 10 arrive and help promote the site during their weather report and explain to their viewers that we are also planting koala food trees to promote a captivity breeding program.

Well what a Big Day, thanks Vishua and his group who helped out. If it wasn’t for them we would still be planting today. Also thanks to the Blacktown Lions Club who came out to provide a sausage sizzle to our much needed volunteers.

This end of the speed way is completed now. The process consisted of monitoring the trees with rabbits enjoying some of the juvenile trees especially ‘Forest Red Gum trees’ they push the tree guards down and eat the tips of the trees.
